Brandon has been in the trades since he can remember. His Father was a drywaller for 25 years and a handyman for 20 years. Brandon spent many days working with him growing up. Though he started working as a Process Engineer after school, all while doing side jobs as a Handyman. One thing led to another and he eventually started his business full time 7 years ago. He's been fully invested in growing his own skills along with training all employees which he thoroughly enjoys. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his two teenage daughters. He's also a sponsored tournament angler and spends as much time as possible on the water. Brandon has been all over this country chasing 100lb+ Blue Catfish.

Kevin Nichols
Kevin started painting in 2016 for Spartan Painting & Decorating, under his late brother, Joseph Nichols. Throughout many years at the same company, Kevin has honed his skills in any and all tasks relating to painting.
His favorite jobs are exterior jobs, decks, any outside seasonal work. Kevin loves the before & after of helping people transform their homes. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys listening to podcasts(at work too, you'll catch him with his headphones,) watching TV, anything hockey related, and loves reading books.
Jared Gomez
Lead Painter
Jared started in the trades when he was 12 to help his family pay the bills. He started with property maintenance under a guy owning many buildings and complexes. That guy had a motto of always making the place better than when the last tenant was there. He learned the basics of painting, flooring, plumbing, a tad of electrical, minimal tile work, roofing, gas, HVAC, and the everyday handyman tricks, He ventured off into honing his skills with specializing companies. He began to work with Brandon at Handy Helpers Plus, and do side jobs with Spartan Painting if they needed an extra hand.
When he's not working Jared enjoys listening/watching podcasts, reading books, and spending time with family.
Jared's favorite things to do at work are painting, and flooring. He enjoys the interior jobs and seeing the customers reaction to a job well done.

Reiner started painting in 2017 under the mentorship of his late friend, Joseph Nichols, at Spartan Painting & Decorating. He quickly learned fine finish painting and crew management. Reiner was made a foreman within his second year at Spartan Painting. He specializes in interior fine finishes, especially cabinet refinishing. He founded Old Spartan Painting & Decorating in 2022 after Joe's sudden passing just to keep the current employees afloat. The company grew very quickly and snowballed into something magnificent. Over years of trial and error, Reiner perfected a full proof method of guaranteeing customers a factory refinish of their cabinets. His favorite jobs to work on are cabinets, and interior/exterior carpentry. Away from work, Reiner enjoys spending as much time with his family as possible. He has also become very interested in the Big Catfish chase under Brandon's mentorship.

Old Spartan Painting & Decorating was founded shortly after Joe's sudden passing in 2022 by Reiner Arnott, Joe's foreman at the time. Joe was the owner of Spartan Painting & Decorating based out of Elgin, IL. Joe was the most detail oriented painter and that's why he was the perfect owner. He didn't work on the jobsites much due to having a busy backlog of estimates and meetings with customers, but he always made sure to be there on the final day of a job to make sure the customer and the employees were all 100% satisfied with the work performed. Joe based his entire career around his professionalism, always making sure the customer felt comfortable with his guys in their home. He was truly one of a kind in the trades and will forever be missed. Brandon, one of Joe's best friends, has recently acquired the new company. We will continue to honor Joe's legacy and the work he started through Old Spartan Painting & Decorating.
